CounterTop is more prevalent in the Legacy metagame than what the Okayama results suggest. The AdNauseam list above has no answer to Counterbalance (apart from a Hull Breach in the SB which could be fetched with Burning Wish but you’d be lucky if you ever resolve that against a deck with counters). Storm decks often run Wipe Away, Krosan Grip or Cleanfall/Tranquility (depending on the list) to fight Counterbalance.

Decks like Threshold (UGw and UGb versions), Ugb Landstill and Ugb control (incl. Intuition) all run CounterTop. The CounterTop + E.Tutor package is less common because UW contro lists are much better without it.

Yes, ET/CB/SDT is still good The 12 month old list i’m playing is Zvi’s worlds deck and I (actually) literally don’t lose in my (admittedly limited) testing.

well, a counterbalance with 1 on the top more than likely destroys ad nasuaum….I’d prolly say counterbalance is best in a thresh list than anything that runs enlightenened tutor though…brainstorm/ponder/sac lands are pretty good at finding you what you might need

Worlds has the team event with Legacy also

There’s a legacy gp next year in Chi town. Seems relevant enough to me. Thanks for the list, is counterbalance/top/enlightened tutor still good? that seems insane, but ad nauseum may just be the nuts.

I’m interested in legacy like I’m interested in vintage. Cool to see decklists but its not like I’ll ever play the format.

I have a Legacy tournament coming up in the next few weeks that’s offering a playset of Tundra to the winner, does that count?

I’m playing a twelve month old decklist, cuz i’m good at magic like that.

Out of curiosity, are there any Legacy players amongst the top8magic fan base? I know of two Vintage players who regularly listen to the podcasts (myself and another character), but I’ve never noticed Legacy mentioned on the boards unless it was regarding a GP.
