Three Quick Site Updates
michaelj | November 6, 2008 | 1:30 amFirst off, thanks everybody for visiting the site.
We know you are looking for Top 8 Magic Podcasts…
But we don’t actually know how to upload them to the new site yet (really)!
I blame Matt Wang.
I’m sure it makes you feel better to know that we have actually recorded Podcasts on a couple of occasions but simply have not been able to upload them yet.
Rest assured that the amazing altran and Matt Wang are resolving this issue as we speak.
Secondly, for anyone interested…
THERE IS GOING TO BE A MOCK TOURNAMENT TOMORROW NIGHT.
Pre-States Standard, of course.
Given the results of previous mock tournaments, this is going to be the event to watch.
We will endeavor to get results and important deck lists up by Friday to advise your States decisions, Podcasts or no.
Lastly, BDM will be stalking New York States much as he did at Pro Tour Berlin.
He will be blogging on the fly using the powerful technology of his iPhone and snapping pictures and making clever observations all day, up until I am once again crowned New York State Champion.
Inevitable!
Thanks for your patience, especially with the Podcasts. We are doing our best and feel that the new site is going to be the best way Top 8 Magic can continue to communicate with our audience and bring you new and innovative Magic: The Gathering content.
LOVE
MIKE

Hi
All you probably need for making this WP-blog “podcastingable” is one of these plugins:
http://www.mightyseek.com/podpress
or:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/podcasting/
I don’t podcast myself, so I don’t know, which one is preferrable, but I would go with the first one.

Thanks EB — the site should already be compatible with iTunes and plain-jane RSS readers. Just use the links at the top of the page to subscribe. Our problem was getting the podcasts up in the first place :P.
I see you created a gravatar! For the rest of you, “gravatar” is short for “globally recognized avatar.” You can create one that is compatible with this site by going to http://en.gravatar.com/. Signing up for a gravatar.com account is free, and all that’s required is your email address.
Just wanted to say I love the new site, an I am anxiously awaiting new podcasts. I am also freaking psyched that comments are back, as the old top8magic message boards were some of the most intelligent magic forums.
