Trying to Fix Podcasts

I apologize for the podcasts not working. To be honest, we are trying our best to get them working with this new interface and it is not as easy as just uploading them and then posting a link.
Please be patient as we try to fix them.

This is only an idea and I don’t know if you try this now….
Upload the Podcast to the server.
In Wordpress entry select “Add custom field” and “Enclosure”
Place the URL of the archive, his size (on bytes) and the type of the archive (”audio/mpeg”) in this field
Well, you publish the article on Podcast category, then, you can send a specific URL to the users to subscribe to our Podcast.
In this case, your URL is this:
http://www.ejemplo.com/wordpress/wp-rss2.php?category_name=podcasts
And that’s all.
I know we have a few plug-ins for Wordpress oriented for podcasting, you can try with this too.

Why not just upload the files to any actually working site and post the links, while you figure out how to fix your server issues? …..
I don’t know if you should take it as a compliment that everyone is so desperate for content or just wish people would be a little more freaking patient.

hey, i was able to download all the podcasts by right click save file as on the links on the http://www.top8magic.com home page, but not if i clicked the top link that takes you to the blog post…. so i dunno if they are fixed but super pumped to listen!
ok, update! i was still not able to get the best deck podcasts 1+2 but i was able to get all the post-grand prix coverage.
Yeah Karl’s right. At this point, it’s either that we’re all psychoticly dependant on T8M for our entertainment, or we’re just tired of ‘Hey, they’re up……oh wait……oh yeah, yes, for sure…….or not…….crud…..” and want a little closing in them finally being posted.
I’m definitely in the first category. i read the entire archives of the webcomic questionable content in my T8M slum.

Actually everything should be working fine now.
Sorry for the delay.
We are continuing to learn WordPress, so please be patient.
Also, tell BDM and Flores to keep the podcasts at 20 minute intervals. Part of the delay is that it takes time to break them down into downloadable chunks.

I’m definitely looking forward to the best decks discussion. My favorite podcasts of all time were when Mike, BDM, and Becker (and possibly others, it’s been a while since I listened to it) went through most of the ProTours and tried to figure out who the best deck designer of that era was, and the intern podcast sounds like it could possibly be even better!
Just as a minor aside, the only podcast up on Itunes from the intern/LA ones is LA#1
Hey everybody, if you go through the download URL, and instead look up

you’ll see that there’s actually a GPLA part 6 podcast, that I’ve been able to successfully download. Perhaps that’s the reason part 2 doesn’t want to work. There’s actually 5 podcasts, but they’ve been labelled 1, 3, 4, 5, 6.

Ugh, I can’t believe I’m quoting Becker. I’m letting the podcast down. (Yes, I know Becker was quoting Forsythe at the time, my point stands.)
Are these being fixed on iTunes? that feed is not currently displaying or downloading them.

Actually, according to that website address…. there are now 8 parts, yet iTunes still only has 1 listed…

Good stuff Chris. It appears that we can start saving Matt time by grabbing podcasts manually.
The only problem that i have with uploading them manually is that i can’t get them into my itunes podcast folder, so i have to get each file and wrestle them into their own folders and then i ahve to set them all up in itunes…..i may as well make my own audio files while i’m at it.
And if matt IS wondering, parts 2-5 are not visible on iTunes yet.
