Kitchen Finks is 'Insane' against these decks, providing card advantage and such. In the matchups where Anathamancer is 'Insane' (5C etc) Finks isnt so amazing. Resolving him against 5c often spells GG (or you just unearth him and win anyway). So yeah, Finks seems better in 'most'matchups as a MD card, but the 'Mancer is a total blowout in certain matchups - complementing Banefire perfectly. If every time you lost (or even won) you just said "well, maybe there was something I could have done, but I didn't do it, so whatever!" you'd never improve your game. It is possible Mike maybe references that particular mistake a time or two too many in this series, but whatever. Stuff like that happens when you're just chatting with a friend, even if its on a podcast. My question is about the deck itself. Mike says in the beginning that Anathemancer is like the best threat, and I agree. Right now, no one respects how good he is and don't build their decks accordingly, and as a result he's completely insane in nearly every matchup. This being the case, why is the "best card" stuck in the Sideboard for the Jund Ramp deck? It works excellently in a deck with 4 Banefires as a way to kill people out of no where regardless of their ability to block.
