Seems like you want to play Boat Brew splashing black for Anathemancer right? Or BW tokens splashing red for him.

I like the concept here and think that Painter/Backlash is cute, but I cant see it being better than the 2 decks I mentioned above.

That said, RW lark/Boat Brew with 2-3 backlash in the board may be a good idea in itself.

I want BDM to be happy, I made the Thoughtseize, Sculler, Meddling Mage, Reveillark deck.

// Lands
    3 [SHM] Sunken Ruins
    2 [ON] Island (2)
    1 [MM] Swamp (4)
    4 [TE] Reflecting Pool
    4 [10E] Caves of Koilos
    4 [SHM] Mystic Gate
    1 [ST] Plains (4)
    4 [ALA] Arcane Sanctum

// Creatures
    3 [SHM] Kitchen Finks
    1 [LRW] Ajani Goldmane
    1 [ALA] Elspeth, Knight-Errant
    2 [LRW] Jace Beleren
    4 [ALA] Tidehollow Sculler
    4 [PS] Meddling Mage
    3 [MOR] Reveillark
    4 [LRW] Mulldrifter

// Spells
    4 [CFX] Path to Exile
    4 [LRW] Thoughtseize
    3 [WL] Agonizing Memories
    4 [LRW] Cryptic Command

// Sideboard
SB: 1 [LRW] Ajani Goldmane
SB: 1 [ALA] Elspeth, Knight-Errant
SB: 1 [LRW] Jace Beleren
SB: 4 [A] Wrath of God
SB: 4 [LRW] Burrenton Forge-Tender
SB: 4 [SHM] Puppeteer Clique

It's been doing really well. Once I had 3 Meddling Mages out set to Broodmate Dragon, Chameleon Colossus, and Kitchen Finks. My opponent's hand was two broodmate dragon, two colossus, and a Kitchen Finks.

The other direction to take the deck is to make it more aggro based, cut fallout for Spectral Procession, focus the mana a bit more and add Windbrisk Heights. Cut Vess and 1 Path for 3 FInks. Just my two cents.

Of course this plays into the fallouts other people are playing, so it may not be as good.

I cut Thoughtseizes in the main for 3 Terrors. Moved Thought Hemmorage out of the board and replaced it with 2 Thoughtseize.

I'd like to work in finks somehow, but am unsure where it fits in right now. Maybe a sideboard card?

Will,
Just in running a few quick games it feels to me like the deck is begging for lifegain to deal with rival ananthemancers which i believe will be every where at regionals... 3 thoughtseize 4 fallout and a couple of pain lands are adding up... possible answers for main deck?

ajani makes the move...
finks?  requires a manabase adjustment
runed halo?

First card I would put on the chopping back would be the (so far) unimpressive Lilliana...

like I said only based on a few games. thoughts?

Initial impressions are that the deck seems fine in the matchups you've already noted (tokens/ 5c) but a dog to Red decks of multiple stripes, as well as elves. Painter's servant hates to see a hasty 3/2 come down on the other side of the board, and there seems to be a lot of those running around. The biggest problem in the handful of games I've played has been the curve. Really awkward to have a handful of 5's and only get to 4 lands before dying. Or to have 6-7 lands and a collection of bears. I've only played a dozen or so games, but that's my general impressions so far.
