So far I love what I have seen of Magic 2012, I think it makes a good start for the upcomming Innistrad. I really hope they print more awesome black card, I have been trying to build a competitive back aggro deck for some time now. We need a big bad zombie

I agree with you guys that Azure Mage is going to be a constructed all-star. “Play a relevant spell? MANA LEAK! Don’t play a relevant spell, DRAW A CARD (another mana leak).” All while bashing for two.

And it’s so cheap! Ahhhh it’s so good!

Jonathan: Yeah I was not sure which one could do which at the time. Basically Blessing is the more color flexible option that cannot “counter” Splinter Twin but if you have access to white mana and want to poop on Twin decks then Stave Off is the one for you.

Just FYI, Stave Off can target creatures you don’t control and Apostle’s Blessing cant. It lets you counter things like Splinter Twin.
